CE supervisors and Section 39 staff rally for pay and pensions justice
CE supervisors and Section 39 workers represented by Fórsa and SIPTU will join forces this Friday (14th February) to take part in a protest rally behind a message for the next government: “Unfinished business: Don’t ignore community services.”
The rally is being organised under the auspices of the Irish Congress of Trade Union’s (ICTU) Community Sector Committee.
CE supervisors are taking part in a 24-hour work stoppage over the Government’s failure to implement the 2008 Labour Court recommendation on access to an occupational pension scheme.
Community Employment (CE) supervisors will be taking part in a 24-hour work stoppage on Friday in their continuing dispute over the Government’s failure to implement a 2008 Labour Court recommendation to give CE supervisors access to an occupational pension scheme.
Section 39 workers are currently balloting and are set to take industrial action in their continuing campaign for the restoration of pay cuts implemented during the financial crisis.

Rally details
The message to the incoming government is Unfinished business: Don’t ignore community services.
The rally will assemble at 11.30am at the Customs House, and at 12.00noon will make its way to the Department of Finance on Merrion Street Upper.
The rally will be addressed by Fórsa General Secretary, Kevin Callinan and by Section 39 and CE Supervisor activists from 12.45.
