Fórsa Member Survey Results 2024

Last July, we sent out our Fórsa member survey, to find out what were the top issues of concern for them and how it will influence their vote.

We had a staggering 20,500+ responses, and below are some top-line results from what they had to say.

Better pay: 6 in 10 are also willing to vote for those that commit to pay increase negotiations, even if they’ve not voted for them before.

Almost half would refuse to vote for those that did not pledge to negotiate pay increases that go beyond inflation, even if they’d voted for them in the past.

Working hours: 75% would support those that support a four-day week. Highest amongst the under 45’s.

Housing: Three quarters believe the housing crisis has worsened since the last election, rising to 8 in 10 of those aged 35 years and under.

Water: 6 in 10 support commitment to a referendum to keep water services in public ownership.

Health: 81% would vote for those who support increased investment in community health services and health promotion.

Childcare: 64% who vote for those who support affordable childcare.

Female voters:  Our membership is 75% women, so this also represents a predominately female voting intention.

Age demographics are also of note.
